and make connections to various musical styles from around the
world. Students will also trace the origins and the cultures
that have influenced this music genre.

and Writing
Designed to focus on ways to improve reading
comprehension and techniques to improve various forms of written
expression. Students will be given the opportunity to read,
analyze, think about, and discuss various written and oral genre's
such as spoken word, essays, short stories, and lyrics.
